An exploration of an atmospheric horror, without the 'horror'.

The game was built for the GDU game jam over a couple of days. I think I might continue on it after the game jam has ended. There are many things that were cut during development.

The goal is simple: Find the door that is unlocked, and open it.

This game was absolutely riveting for its (short) duration! Check it out.

Simple but effective game! I'd love to try it with some Jumpscares!

Even though I removed them for David, man, they kept freaking me out when I was testing. No matter how often I played it through... So it was partly for my sake too ;)

I love it! It's so simple, yet I can see so much potential. The atmosphere is bang on. It's amazing to me how, while rather brightly light - it feels so dark.

I laughed reading "Jump Scares have bene removed for David". In future versions, I'd love to see/experience those scares! Maybe a menu option? It would be cool if some of the wrong doors did open, and something jumpy/scary is behind it instead.

Also - this would be super awesome in VR! I'd love to walk around this place 'for real'.

Oh - one other thing, it would be nice if you could interact with a mouse click or the Ctrl keys too. As a leftie, 'E' is way on the other side of the keyboard.

I'll look up add them back in for sure. Menu option sounds like a go. The plan was to have more than just one door open, but level building is definitely not my strong suit - it was just taking too long.

Not sure it would have the quality for VR. I also struggled to get spatial audio working well in unity. But certainly will consider it!

As for input options - definitely.

Thanks for giving it a go! Once I'm setup, I'll give yours a go also.

Good...

Thanks for giving it a go!

Good experience.

Thanks for playing! I love the reaction to the first flash - a mechanic that sadly had to get stripped from the game.
